    HI! NEW AND CLUELESS

Hi, I am new to this and am wondering if there is somewhere that traders can go to compile basic information.I need to do some reverse research. For example, if I wanted to trade in a metals sector but don't know anything about metals, how can I do a reverse search for a company, starting with finding companies that trade in silver and then compare those companies to decide which company to buy stocks in? Or oil, or anything really. I don't know enough actual company names to be able to research companies' names but I do know in what type of markets I want to invest in. Am I strictly limited by the number of companies I already have knowledge of? Thanks! Zaka

Get a copy of Barrons the weekly financial newspaper, this will give you a lot of the info your seeking.

Look at the stock pages and all the names of every stock on the NY stock exchange, American exchange and NASDAQ will be listed with there previous weeks activity.

This is a good start, also you may want to pick up a copy of the Wall Street Journal which is published Monday through Friday with all the previous days trading.

    Good Luck.

MAJIK13, I LOVE THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.  I USED TO HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION TO IT.  IT IS SO IMFORMATIVE.
